Small Holiday Haul

Hi everyone,
So a couple of weeks ago I went on holiday with my boyfriend, his parents and his grandma to Weymouth in Dorset. To be honest it was a bit of a strange/not so great holiday, we went camping which I wasn't crazy about but it was ok, despite the heavy rain! The biggest problem was my boyfriend got very ill with food poisoning/a stomach bug the day before we went home, it was awful he was so ill and I really didn't think he'd be ok to drive us home the next day. But thankfully he was ok and we had a couple of nice days out with decent weather and some yummy meals.

But anyway! Here are the make up items that I spent my holiday money on....

Sleek Blush in Rose Gold - £4.50
I've heard so many great things about this blush and about sleek blushes in general that when I saw this in stock in Weymouth Superdrug I just had to pick it up. It's supposed to me a dupe for NARS Orgasm, I havn't really worn this since I bought it as I'm not that sure how to wear it...sounds weird I know. The quality feels amazing and the pigmentation is great though!

YSL Teint Touche Eclat Foundation in B50 - £28
I felt totally crazy spending this amount of money on a foundation but I've wanted it for ages! I had a sample of it and fell in love with it, it makes my skin look so radiant.

MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick in Craving - £14
On the drive down to Weymouth we made a fliying visit to the Trafford Centre because my boyfriend wanted to go to the Lego shop!(Don't ask!!) So I made a mad dash to the MAC counter. Emilynoel on Youtube had reccomended this lipstick, she said it was a gorgeous berry shade from MAC. Basically I swatched it, fell in love with it and bought it! Not much more to say! :D

My Nail Polish Collection - Rimmel

Hi everyone,
Here's another installment of my nail polish collection...

I've always had a soft spot for Rimmel polishes and I've ended up with quite a few of them. :)

(L-R Purple Reign, Perfect Plum, Black Cherries, Blue Me Away, Deliciously Dark, Your Majesty, Sky High, Pompous, Disco Ball)

I think my favourite polish out of my Rimmel ones is Perfect Plum, I love wearing it on my toes. :)

Wednesday Wishlist

Hi everyone,
Here's just a list of some random beauty products I'd love to get my hands on :)

L'oreal Caresse in Rebel Red
I swatched this in Superdrug the other week and I want it so much! Such a gorgeous red!

L'oreal Caresse in Dating Coral
I've never worn a coral lipstick so I feel this product would be a good place to start as you can wear them quite sheer or build them up a bit.

Urban Decay Smoked Palette
Yay it's a new Urban Decay palette! I love their palettes so this one is a must for me, I love the fact that their is a booklet included so I can teach myself how to do a good smokey eye. This does retail for £35 though, so it will be a luxury purchase!

L'oreal Colour Riche Nail Polish in Magic Croisette
I recently tried some of L'oreals nail polishes and loved them! I really want to give this pretty looking polish a try, I think it'd look nice on my toes!

NOTD - Green Glitter Gradient

Hi everyone,

So the other night I went to my sister in law's house and she treated me to a manicure. She is wonderful at doing nails and you should see some of the amazing nail art she can do!

I asked her for a glitter gradient nail design and this is what she came up with...

Vikki used Models Own Peacock on all my nails apart from my accent nail and then did a glitter gradient using Nubar's holographic glitter polish.

On my accent nail she used Models Own Champagne and then used a stamp and Models Own Peacock to achieve the leopard print effect.

August Favourites

Hi everyone,
These are the products I was loving during August!

MUA Pressed Powder in Shade 1
I've been using this powder a lot recently, as it's been really hot and humid I've felt the need to set my make up! The powder is really soft, smooth and feels very finely milled. This product is lovely! Especially for only £1!

Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil in FBI
I've been loving this concealer lately, it has a great creamy texture and is pretty long lasting.

Impulse Body Spray in Tease
I love this scent! I used to use it loads when I was a teenager and picked up another one the other week. I'm really enjoying using it again.

Essie Your Hut Or Mine
This is such a gorgeous colour! It's a warm peachy pink creamy colour with a subtle gold shimmer running through it.

Seche Vite Topcoat
I love this stuff, it's my favourite topcoat ever! It was going a bit gloopy but I borrowed a bit of my sister in law's Seche Vite restore and now it's as good as new! If you're looking for a quick dry and super shiny topcoat, give this a go. :)

Soap & Glory Hand Maid Hand Cleansing Gel
This stuff was really useful whilst camping, it smells lovely too!

No7 Eyelash Curlers
I never used to bother curling my eyelashes much but I started to get into doing so this month and I really enjoyed using these eyelash curlers. They're great value too when the No7 vouchers are around.

Scrubs
I've loved Scrubs for years but this month I've been watching it loooads, It's so funny. If you've not watched it, you're missing out and should definitely give it a go!

August Empties!

Hi everyone,
Seeing as we're already in September(!) I thought I share my August empties with you.

Spa Deep Cleansing Facial Wipes
I really like these, I prefer them to the fragrance free wipes that I was using from this brand. They smell nice and are pretty effective.
Repurchase? Yes

Spa Cucumber Facial Wipes
These were nice, very refreshing and the cucumber smell was very fresh!
Repurchase? Yes

Soap and Glory Off Your Face Cleansing Clothes
These face wipes are nice but not worth the £4.50 price tag in my opinion.
Repurchase? No

Montagne Jeunesse Peel Off Passion Face Mask
I love peel off face masks and this one had a gorgeous fruity smell and performed really well.
Repurchase? Yes

Elemental Herbology Cell Plumping Facial Hydrator
This was a sample I recieved from Whats In My Handbag. It's such a lovely cream and was a joy to use, it had a herbal rose scent which I wasn't very keen on at first but it did grow on me.
Repurchase? Yes, if the full size wasn't £42!

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara
I love this mascara! I've gone on and on about it a lot and I think this is my third tube of the stuff!
Repurchase? Yes

Herbal Essences Curl and Wave Shampoo
I only had about a quarter of a bottle of this stuff when I came to use it up so I can't tell if it did much to my hair but it lathered up really nicely and smelt amazing and fruity!
Repurchase? Yes

VO5 Nourish Me Truly Shampoo
As with the Herbal Essences shampoo there wasn't much left of this when I came to use it up but it was nice to use. The only problem I had was that I needed a lot of it for it to lather up much.
Repurchase? Yes

VO5 Give Me Moisture Shampoo
I really like this shampoo, I've repurchased it a few times.
Repurchase? Yes

Gliss Liquid Silk Conditioner
I wasn't crazy about this conditioner, I felt I needed a lot of it to properly condition my hair. Also it smelt kind of weird, a bit like cinnamon, but not in a good way!
Repurchase? No

VO5 Give Me Moisture Conditioner
This conditioner is a pretty good one. :) It helps my dry hair feel nice a soft.
Repurchase? Yes

Nivea Double Effect Violet Senses Deodorant
I liked this deodorant, but it did smell a little powdery which I wasn't keen on.
Repurchase? No, there's only scents that I like more

Avene Smoothing Hydrating Serum
I loved this stuff! It made my face feel amazingly smooth!
Repurchase? Yes

Soap and Glory Greatest Scrub Of All
This wasn't the most effective face scrub in my opinion but I did like the little bubbles in it that pop when you press on them!
Repurchase? No

Nivea Energy Fresh Deodorant
This has to be my favourite deodorant ever!
Repurchase? Yes

Garnier Simply Essentials Toner
I really enjoyed this toner, it was very refreshing and didn't irritate my skin at all.
Repurchase? Yes

Soap and Glory Girligo Moisturising Spray
I've mentioned this before, it's great and really useful when it's hot and sticky outside! Nothing worse than rubbing in a thick body butter when it's boiling hot!
Repurchase? Yes

Original Source Mint and Walnut Scrub
I love the smell of Original Source mint products, but the texture of this product really let it down. It was really thick and gloopy, very strange.
Repurchase? No

Olay Daily Facial Clothes for Normal/Dry Skin
I really enjoyed these, they're very moisturising but I'm really lazy and couldn't be bothered using them morning and night...
Repurchase? Yes

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream Sample
I really didn't like this, it gave basically no coverage and didn't sit nicely on my skin at all.
Repurchase? No

17 Photo Flawless Primer
I really liked this, it smoothed out my skin and my foundation seemed less patchy with this underneath it.
Repurchase? Yes but I'd like to try out another primer first.

That was a LOT of empties!

Mini Poundland Haul

Hi everyone,
Long time no see :)
Sorry I've been a bit absent recently, I've been super busy and been away on holiday.
But today I'm back with a haul!

I went shopping yesterday and as soon as I got off the train I made a bee line for Poundland! I love looking for beauty bargains in there!

I picked up five things but gave one to my sister in law :)

I was so excited to find some Sinful Colors nail polishes! I get very excited when I find American brands in Poundland... :) Yes i'm a little sad...

I picked up 3 colours but only kept the shades Scandal and All Mighty.

(L-R All Mighty, Scandal)

The colours are so bright and pretty, very happy with them. :)

I also managed to find some of the Stila products that have been floating around Poundlands recently. I picked up an Angel Light Whitening Powder Refill.

Unfortunately I picked up a shade that looks far too dark for me(stupid me for not checking the packaging!), so I think I will feature it in an giveaway which is coming soon!

The last thing that I bought from Poundland is a Rimmel eyeshadow.

It's a 'Stir It Up' eyeshadow, in the shade 'NO WAY!'. I think these are/were only available in the US as I've never seen them over here.

When I swatched this product I was surprised, I thought It was a powder product but it appears to be a cream product with little chunks of powder sat on top, strange!
I will let you know how I get on with this weird little product. :)

So yeah, that concludes my little haul, I am going to try and blog everyday in September so expect to see plenty of posts from me in the near future!
Also I've been collecting a few bits for a giveaway that I will announce before the end of the month so keep your eyes open for that. :)

Thanks for reading!
