Product Review - Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie

When the Revlon Lip Butters were launched in the UK I jumped on the band wagon and bought one as soon as possible! However I was totally disappointed, I bought one in the shade 'Strawberry Shortcake', a light, creamy, baby pink. I tried it on and immediately hated it, the colour was awful on me, it was so pigmented which wasn't what I was expecting and it clung to any dry skin on my lips.

BUT!!! I have now fallen in love with a lip butter and I've forgiven Revlon(hehe) :D

This lip butter is completely different!

It's in the shade Berry Smoothie.
I bought this because I liked the look of the colour and Emilynoel83, from YouTube recommended it in one of her videos.

Berry Smoothie is a fairly sheer berry colour, it feels smooth and moisturising on the lips.

The packaging is sleek, sophisticated and the actual product is a good shape and enables easy application.

This is the lip butter swatched on my hand, on the right it's just one swipe of the product and on the left it's a few layers of the lip butter.

This is Berry Smoothie applied lightly, I love this for an everyday/work/daytime look, it's lovely and sheer.

Pro's
- Not badly priced - £7.99
- Easy to wear
- Amazing colour(for me anyway)
- Moisturising

Con's
- You don't get much product for the money
- The product can get a bit soft quite easily, which makes it harder to apply(I've stuck mine in the fridge for a while)

P.S. If anyone wants the lip butter in Strawberry Shortcake that I have, let me know, I'd be happy to send it to you :) I've only used it a couple of times. Hopefully I can find it a new home where it'll be used and loved :D hehe.

NOTD - OPI Let Me Entertain You

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be lent a gorgeous OPI nail varnish by my friends mum, It's called Let me entertain you.

It's a rich dark pink with pink micro glitter. It applied really smoothly and only needed two coats, but I applied three for good measure.

It's really tempted me to buy a full size OPI, I was thinking maybe 'I'm Not Really A Waitress' but we'll see!

April Favourites

Seeing as we're already into the first week of May, I thought I'd post my April favourites!

Favourite Eye Products

The Naked Palette
I know eveyone loves the naked palette but I'm still so obsessed with it and I've had it nearly a year! My favourite shadows in April were Sin, Half Baked, Smog and Toasted.

MUA Professional Eye Primer
For me this is just as good as the much loved Urban Decay primer potion, and it's a fraction of the price. It's only £2.50 for 7.5ml of product! I find that my eyeshadow stays on for hours, looks more intense than without a primer and doesn't crease when using this.

L-R Maybelline Colour Tattoo, L'oreal Infaillible Eyeshadow

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Eternal Gold
I love this colour, It's a great intense gold. The texture of this product is great, it gives ample time for you to blend it out before it dries and is good as a base for powder shadows. I've been wearing this a lot recently blended up to just under the brow bone with virgin from the naked palette as a highlight.

L'oreal Infaillible Eyeshadow in Goldmine
This eyeshadow has such a weird but nice velvety texture, it's so soft and smooth. The colour is so beautiful and sparkly. I find it's best to apply with fingers.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara in Black
I LOVE this mascara! I think it's due to the amazing brush. This is a make up bag staple for me :)

Favourite Face Make Up Products

Technic Highlights Highlighter
This product is a total dupe for benefits highbeam, it's a lovely highlighter. I use this mixed with my foundation for an all over glow. I much prefer it to any of my powder highlights and it was only £1.49!!

Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil in FBI
I misplaced this concealer for a while, so when I found it again recently I was so happy! It's a great concealer, very pigmented, has a creamy consistancy and applies and blends very easily. I use it mainly for my undereye circles and around my nose.

Favourite Lip Products

Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tint in Endless Blossom
This has been my go to lip colour for work and just a casual day time look. This colour is so easy to wear and it has a nice fruity scent. The balm is pretty moisturising too which is a plus!

BarryM Lip Laquer Crayon in No.2
I love these lip crayons, I have two. This one is a kind of bright cherry red, glossy and sparkly. It's so lovely to wear for a bright lip and I tend to wear a clear lipgloss over the top to make it super shiny and lovely :D

Swatches below :)

L-R BarryM, Rimmel 1000 Kisses

Favourite Candle

Jelly Belly Candle in Toasted Marshmallow
This candle smells absoloutly amazing! It smells like hot sugary marshallows, it burns slowly and lasts ages! I've really been enjoying this candle over the last few weeks, it's a very appreciated Christmas present. :)

Random Favourite

Original Source Handwash in Vanilla Milk and Raspberry
I love original source products so this appealed to me straight away, especially when I smelt it and it smells just like drumstick lollies! I love using this stuff and i'm stocking up while it's on offer. :)

Haul :)

Hi everyone :)
Just a little haul post today to show some of the things I've bought in the last week or two.

I'll start with the facial skincare first, I picked up some Olay Daily Facial cloths in Tesco as I've been wanting to try some better quality face wipes. I bought these for £5 which is annoying as I saw them in Superdrug today for £4! Oh well. I tried one of these last night and it was nice, it lathered up really well and I felt like it got all of my make up off.

In Tesco I also picked up a Garnier Simply Essentials Toner, this was half price so I only paid £1.45. It's fragrance free and it felt very refreshing last night when I used it for the first time.

Then today I picked up..

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer - £4.19 - I bought this in the shade light so I could use it under my eyes, I tried it out this morning and I'm pretty impressed so far. :)

Superdrug Coconut & Shea Butter Body Polish - £1.29 - 200ml - I bought this after seeing it being reccomended on another blog, I don't really need another body scrub, but this was cheap and it smells yummy!

Nivea Visage Young Be Beautiful Tinted Moisturiser - £1.49 - 75ml - This was a bargain find in Home Bargains, I havn't tried a tinted moisturiser for ages so I thought for the price I'd give it a go. There will be a review coming up on this soon.

Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation - £6.99 - 30ml - I've read some good Bourjois foundation reveiws and seeing as this is £4 off in Boots at the moment I thought I'd try it. I bought it in shade number 52, Vanilla.

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder - £4.99 - 16.5g - This was also on offer in Boots, it smells gorgeous so I'm glad I picked it up for the smell alone! :D

Anyway, that's all that I bought so thanks for reading :)
