May Empties

Hi everyone! :)

I know I'm a bit late and It's the 9th of June but here are my May empties.

Spa Sensitive Facial Cleansing Wipes - 25 - 59p
These are just my go to everyday face wipes, they're very cheap, gentle on the skin and get the majority of my make up off.

Orise Avise 3 in 1 Cleansing Facial Wipes - 25 - 99p for 3 packets at Lidl
These were ok, I didn't expect much for the price but they were fine and they got my make up off.

Orise Avise Deep Cleansing Facial Wipes - 25 - 99p for 3 packets at Lidl
These were just the same as the other face wipes from Lidl, they did the job, but they were nothing special really. :)

Spa Cleansing Eye Make Up Remover Pads - 20 - £1 for 2 packets at Home Bargains
I hadn't tried eye make up remover pads before I bought these but they were nice, quite thick and strong, they took eye make up off pretty well and were nice and cheap.

Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Moisturiser Shea Butter - 3 Sachets - Free from Garnier Facebook Page
I enjoyed these, they smelt lovely and moisturised really well. And they were free!!

Nivea Creme Soft Shower Cream - Sample
This was so creamy and lovely! I love most Nivea products and I initially really liked it but then it gave me a rash on my armpit. So not so great. :(

Soap and Glory Hand Food - 125ml - £5
I love this stuff! It smells amazing and is lovely, thick and moisturising.

Soap and Glory Girligo Moisturising Mist - 250ml - £6.50
This is a firm favourite that I will keep repurchasing.

Impulse Very Pink Body Spray - 75ml - £1.99
This was ok, quite a sweet scent. Not my favourite and I probably wouldn't buy again.

Original Source Vanilla Milk and Raspberry Shower Gel - 250ml - £2.30
This shower gel smells so gorgeous! It smells like drumstick lollies. It was also moisturising which was good. I'll definitely repurchase this.

Soap and Glory Mini Hand Food - 50ml - £2.50
This is a handbag essential for me! :)

Dove Intensive Repair Regenerating Mask - 200ml - £3.99
This was ok, didn't perform any miracles, probably wouldn't repurchase.

Nivea Calm and Care Deodorant - 250ml - £3.25
Nivea definitely make my favourite deodorants and I love the scent of this one. Even my boyfriend commented on how nice it smelt. I'd buy this again.

KK Classics Nail Polish Remover - 150ml - 59p
This was just a cheapie nail polish remover, it did the job and it was a bargainous price.

Amor Amor Echarel Perfume - 30ml - £14.99
I'm so gutted that I've used this up :( It's my favourite ever perfume and has a gorgeous fruity scent that is just perfect!

Batiste Original Dry Shampoo - 50ml - £1.50
I find this stuff really useful but I prefer the tropical scented one.

Recipe - Easy Asparagus and Potato Salad

Here's a lovely summery potato salad recipe, perfect for BBQs, picnics -or just munching on at home. :)

Ingredients
- 250g New Potatoes(I used quite small Charlotte potatoes)
- 10 Spears of Asparagus(Use more if you have it!)
- 1 Small Shallot
- 1 Heaped Tablespoon of Sour Cream
- 1 Tablespoon of French Mayonnaise(Can be bought in Sainsburys, or substitute for normal mayo mixed with some dijon mustard)
- 2 Teaspoons of Lemon Juice
- Salt and Pepper

Method
- Place the potatoes in a pan and cover with cold water, bring the potatoes to the boil and simmer for 15 minutes or until tender.
- Drain the potatoes and leave to cool.
- When the potatoes have cooled, slice into 1cm thick slices and place in a bowl.
- Trim the tough ends off you asparagus and place on a microwavable plate.
- Microwave the asparagus on high for 30 seconds. The asparagus should be tender but not overcooked.
- Slice the asparagus into rounds, but leave the tips whole and set to one side.
- Add the sliced asparagus to the bowl with the potato slices in.
- Now make the dressing by finely chopping the shallot and add to the asparagus and potato slices along with the sour cream, mayo, lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste.
- Give everything a good stir together, taste to check it's seasoned enough.
- Spoon the salad into serving dishes and decorate with the asparagus tips.

Serves 2-3 as a side dish.

Product Review - Natural Collection Lipstick in Raspberry

Hi everyone :)
If you're looking for a new lipstick to add to your collection this spring, may I suggest an often overlooked brand(by me anyway), Natural Collection. I picked up one of their lipsticks in the shade Raspberry, the other day on a whim and I'm so glad I did!

I normally go for pink lip colours, or pinky red, so which shade I picked up was an easy choice for me. As soon as I swatched this I fell in love with the colour and knew it had to be mine! :)

This product only cost me £1.99 and to be honest the low price is reflected in the packaging(but not in the product thankfully!), the case is white plastic, which I don't mind, my only problem is that the bullet seems to move around a bit and rattle. But I can't complain seeing as the product is great and it's only cheap after all.

I'd describe the colour of this lipstick as a creamy, rich, medium/dark pink.

Besides the lovely colour, what I love about this lipstick is the creamy, moisturising texture. I really wasn't expecting this from a cheap lipstick, especially after trying out the MUA lipsticks and not enjoying them that much.

Summary
Pros - Creamy texture, gorgeous colour, pigmented, cheap
Cons - Cheap packaging(but can't really whinge)
Mark out of 10 - 9/10

So anyway, that's my thoughts.
Has anyone else tried Natural Collection lipsticks?
If so, what did you think?

NOTD - Royal Rimmel

Hi everyone :)
Here's my nail of the day!

I used two Rimmel polishes, one called 'Purple Reign' and the other's called 'Your Majesty', so even though they're not traditional colours for the Jubilee weekend they're very appropriate names for this weekends events!

Thanks for reading,
hope you're all having a great bank holiday!

Small Boots Haul

Hi everyone :)
Today I'm just going to show you a little haul from my last trip to boots.

The first thing that I picked up was some No7 eyelash curlers because the only eyelash curlers I have are some really cheap rubbish ones so I thought it was time for a new pair. These retail for £7.25 but I used a £5 off No7 voucher so they were a bargain for only £2.25!

I then picked up some earrings that I've had my eye one for a while and they were reduced from £7.50 to £2.50! I really love the leaf earrings and the butterfly studs, I wore the leaf earrings and one of the studs last night. I'm not sure if the other two bigger pairs of earrings are really my style but I'll definitely try and wear them with something or other.

From No7's summer make up range I picked up these, they are four jumbo eye crayons. They retail for £13 but using a £5 off No7 voucher I got them for £8, so £2 per pencil isn't a bad deal!
The colours are (from L-R) Metallic Bronze, Metallic Grey, Cornflower Blue and Hazy Green. I'll be doing a review on these soon. :)

And last but not least is this lipstick from Natural Collection. I bought this in the shade Raspberry and it was only £1.99! I've never bought a Natural Collection lipstick before and so far I am very impressed with it and there will definitely be a review coming up!
But for now here's a cheeky swatch :)
