July Favourites

Hi Everyone!
Time for my July favourites!

Nivea Energy Fresh Deodorant
This is hands down my favourite deodorant, it smells amazing and fresh and works really well too. I just wish I could find it in a bigger bottle!

Urban Decay Naked Palette
I love this palette and I use it all the time, but this month I've been using it loooads. It's just wonderful. :)

Max Factor Nail Polish in Ivory
This is a gorgeous polish, it applies really well and is an amazing colour. I've been wearing this on my toes a lot this month. Here's a NOTD using this polish.

MUA Eyeliner in Snow White
I've been using this on my waterline this month, it's a lovely creamy pencil and has decent staying power.

L'oreal Caresse in Sweet Berry
I love wearing this for a very easy, casual look. It's very wearable and easy to apply on the go. The taste/scent is gorgeous too! Here's my review on the L'oreal caresse lipsticks

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle
I am in love with this product, it gives the perfect dewy, glowy finish.

Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara
I've been loving this mascara this month, it really does give amazing volume. It's worth a try if you're after a lot of volume.

DKNY Be Delicious Endless Blossom Perfume
For me this is the perfect summer fragrant, its light, floral and sweet.

GOSH Light 'N Shine Lipgloss in Shade 05
This is such a beautiful lipgloss, so shiny and shimmery. It has a purpley tint to it and smells like vanilla.

L'oreal Studio Secrets Lip Glow
This is a great balm product that changes to a unique colour when you apply it. I love the warm shade of pink it turns on me.

What are you favourites this month?

Sunday Night Make Up Shake Up #3

Hi everyone,
Here are my picks of under used make up for this week.

Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette
This palette is soo gorgeous! I adore it, I don't use it much though. I think thats because it's quite annoying to use if you're in a rush, this is due to the gorgeous but not very functional packaging.

MUA Heaven and Earth Palette
I havn't used this in ages, it'll be great for easy eye looks for work.

17 Va Va Voom Mascara
I've not used this mascara for a while, I remember it being a pretty good mascara overall.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe
I've not used this much since I bought it so I'm going to make an effort with it this week as it is lovely.

Sexy Mother Pucker Lipgloss in Candy Gloss
This is a pretty gloss that doesn't get much love from me.

Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades in Blushalicious
This is such a pretty selection of blushes, nice, summery colours.

Nivea Young Be Beautiful Tinted Moisturiser
I didn't like this much as it doesn't give much coverage, but I want to try using it under my foundation.

Rimmel Royal Gloss in Love It
This is a clear, sparkly gloss that tastes yummy. Not sure why I don't use it much.

Rimmel Eyeliner in Aubergine
I love purple! But I'm sure how well purple eye make up suits me, but I'll give this lovely creamy eyeliner a go seeing as I've had it forever!

NYC Color Wheel in Pink Cadillac
This was a bargain from Poundland, these neutral shadows are soft and pigmented. Great for an everyday look.

NOTD - Max Factor's Ivory

Hi everyone,
I have a NOTD for you all today of a lovely polish that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. I'd been after it for a while and it's soo pretty, it's Max Factor's Ivory.
Ivory is a beautiful, cool toned, pale gold.

I applied three coats of the Ivory polish and then as an accent nail I put a couple of coats on of a Claire's acessories glitter top coat which has no name. :(
But the top coat has pale green and baby pink chunky glitter in it.

This Week's Freebies!

Hi everyone!
I thought I'd share with you the freebies that I recieved this week!
I love freebies(obviously), especially when I recieve them through the post.

I recieved this Elemental Herbology sample from Whats in my handbag, which is a great website that lets you discover what peoples favourite products are, and request samples of certain products.
This product is a Cell Plumping Facial Hydrator with SPF 8.
This is a decent sized sample, you get 15ml of product.

The other freebie I recieved this week was some Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream samples, I havn't been impressed by any BB creams that I've tried yet but I'll still give this a go and see if it's any good. :)
The samples only come in the shade 'Light', you get three 1ml sachets and it has SPF 30 in it.

You can get this freebie by filling in the form on this site... http://www.maybelline.co.uk/bbsample

Drugstore Hair Care and Skin Care Haul

Hi Everyone,
Yes I know, another haul...I've been bad and keep spending money!

The Beauty Parlour Day Cream with SPF 8
I saw this for 99p in Home Bargains so I thought I'd give it a shot as it's mean to retail for about £7.

The Beauty Parlour Chocolate Face Mask
I've been wanting to try some more face masks recently so when I saw this in Home Bargains I snapped it up.

Schwarzkopft Gliss Shampoo and Conditioner
Since I've been going swimming quite a lot in the last few weeks(I joined a gym), my hair has really been suffering so i thought I'd switch up my hair care. This shampoo and conditioner are meant to be good for 'hair repair' and they were half price in Superdrug with is always a win. :)

Schwarzkopft Gliss Leave In Conditioner
I bought this product as another attempt to get my hair back in to shape. This only cost me £1.45.

Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave in Conditioner
I bought this and the 3 Minute Miracle leave in treatment(which I left at the boyfriends house, woops) on offer at Superdrug. I like the smell of this product but I'm not sure how well it does it's job.

L'oreal Elvive Full Restore Hair Masque
I love this stuff, I've had a pot of it before and I think it's just what my hair needs.

Montagne Jeunesse Face Masks
in Strawberry Souffle, Cucumber Peel Off and Passion Peel Off
I used a white chocolate face mask from this brand earlier this month and I was pretty impressed so I thought I try this little lot out. :)

Nicky Clarke 60 Second Secret Conditioning Treatment
I found this in Home Bargains for 49p, I thought it'd be nice just to have to take away with me if I feel like I need a deep conditioning treatment while I'm on holiday.

My Top 5...Naked Palette Shadows

Hi everyone,
Here's another My top 5... post, and this one is about the much loved Urban Decay Naked palette.
I thought I'd share with you my favourite five shades from the palette and give some reasons why. :)

Virgin
This is a gorgeous shadow for highlighting and using in the inner corner. Virgin is a slightly shimmery ivory colour, it's so soft and easy to blend. I think this is the perfect everyday highlight colour.

Half Baked
This is my go to lid colour for day or night, it's a true gold colour and the shadow is buttery soft and gorgeously pigmented. I love using this colour along with Smog to create a gold smokey eye for going out for the night. As you can tell from the picture this shadow is much loved and I was so happy when Urban Decay put this in their Naked 2 palette!

Buck
Buck is a mid toned matte brown shadow which has great pigmentation. I never use this shadow on my eyes, only on my eyebrows, for me it's the perfect, fairly subtle brow filling colour.

Smog
I use this shadow as a crease/outer corner colour. I would describe this colour as a rich, deep, shimmery, bronzey brown. I do also use this shadow on my lower lash line when doing a smokey eye look.
Sin
Sin was the first UD shadow that I fell in love with, I first of all had it in the Ammo Palette and I hit pan on that pretty quickly. Sin is a really pretty, shimmery champagne colour. It's wonderful as a brow bone hightlight or even as an all over lid colour.

(L-R Virgin, Sin, Buck, Half Baked, Smog)

Which shadows from the Naked palette are your favourites?

My Top 5...Lipsticks

Hi everyone,
I thought I'd do a top 5 lipsticks post today. I've only recently(last few months) started to wear lipstick regularly after being a die hard lipgloss fan for years!

So here are my favourites out of the ones that I've tried so far...
(L-R L'oreal Caresse Aphrodite Scarlet, L'oreal Caresse Sweet Berry, Revlon Lip Butter Berry Smoothie, MAC Speed Dial, BarryM Lip Paint 153 )

L'oreal Caresse in Aphrodite Scarlet
This was the first L'oreal Caresse that I bought and I love it! It's a bright, sheer red lipstick with a beautiful creamy consistency and a yummy rosewater smell/fragrance. I love wearing this for everyday when I fancy something bright but light and moisturising on my lips.

L'oreal Caresse in Sweet Berry
I was after this shade for a long time, isn't wasn't in stock anywhere when I looked for it until a few weeks ago. This is a wearable, soft berry shade, that's nice and glossy.  Here is my review on the L'oreal Caresse lipsticks.

Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie
This is another berry toned lipstick that I've been loving, this lipstick is quite sheer but buildable. It's a great shade for day or night and I feel that it really compliments my skin tone. Here is my review on this lip butter.

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Speed Dial
This was my first and is still my only MAC lipstick and I love it! I don't wear it all that often because it is quite bright but it's a warmish blue toned pink and I fell in love with it when I tried it on at the MAC counter. I also cannot get enough of the smell!

BarryM Lip Paint in Shade 153
This is a really nicely pigmented and glossy lipstick. It's a kind of orangey pink colour and is a perfect lipstick colour for summer. I think it would look great with tanned skin!

Here are some swatches of the lipsticks...

Product Review - L'oreal Caresse

Hi everyone,
I've got a review on one of my favourite lip products for you today.
The L'oreal Caresse's were launched in the UK around the same time as the Revlon Lip Butters, but the lip butters seem to get all the attention at the time.

In my opinion these are much nicer than the lip butters and a definitely worth trying out.

I have three shades and they are...

Here are some swatches(yay!) :)

(L-R Cheeky Magenta, Sweet Berry, Aphrodite Scarlet)

Pro's
- Super moisturising
- Buildable colour
- They smell like rosewater
- The packaging is sleek and sturdy
- Bright colours and subtle colours are available
- Can be applied without using a mirror
- Great if you're not confident wearing lipstick
- The same price as the lip butters and they're much better! (in my opinion)

Cons
- Not super long wearing
- Some of the colours are more pigmented than others, making them a little inconsistent

Overall I love these lip products, I wear them most days and I think they're one of the best lip products available for the summer.
Sorry my review is a little short, would you like to see more product reviews?
Please let me know :)

Bargain GOSH Haul

Hi everyone,
So I think you know that you're a bit of a make up obsessed crazy person when your latest two blog posts are both haul posts...
But these were bargains! I'm so happy with my local Superdrug, they're reducing most of their GOSH cosmetics which makes them pretty hard to resist.

All the items that I bought were £3 each, which I didn't think was bad :)

I bought the natural touch foundation in 'Walnut' thinking that the colour of the sticker looked vaguely the right shade(there were no testers), when I got it home and tried it on my hand it was sooo dark :( I'm a bit gutted as the foundation smelt really nice and had good coverage, but maybe I'll be able to mix it with a light foundation to get the right shade.

The next thing I picked up was a glitter eyeliner in the shade 18, it looks like a beautiful iridescent glitter liner, when I swatched it hardly any glitter comes out. :(
So a bit of a fail.

Now on to the best two things that I bought! These lipglosses are gorgeous!
They're so glittery and shimmery, they smell divine and they're not at all sticky!

These are the swatches of them...

(L-R Shade 05, Shade 06)

These glosses have little lights in the lids and a little mirror on the side of the tube  for on the go application, which is pretty cute.
I'm totally in love the shade 05 and can't wait to wear it when I go out on Friday night.

Are there any GOSH products you love?

Jess

Collective Haul

Hi everyone,

Here's a few items that I've bought over the last few weeks, I've been trying to cut down on spending but it's not worked that well...

Balance Me Rose Otto Intensive Lip Salve
I got this free when I bought Glamour Magazine, It's pretty moisturising and smells kind of like turkish delight.

No7 Nourishing Nail and Cuticle Cream
This was a pretty cheap purchase, I had a No7 voucher so it only cost me £2. Yay! I've used it a few times and I like it so far :) Hopefully it'll sort out my horrible cuticles.

MUA Blusher in Shade 3
This blusher was a bargain, it only cost me £1. It's a nice corally pink, it's a totally different colour to any other blushers I have.

GOSH Pigments
I bought five of these and they only cost me 99p each from Superdrug! Not sure why they were reduced, they weren't damaged or anything but yeah :)
I bought the shades, Pineapple, Paradise, Apple Jam, Satin and Purple Rain.

Maybelline Color Tattoos in Permanent Taupe and Immortal Charcoal
I'd been tempted to get these two for ages, I love permanent taupe but I'm less impressed with immortal charcoal.

Mango and Kiwi Mason Jar Candle
This was a gift from a friends mum, it smells great and I love candles in jars :)

Rimmel Base Coat and Nail Tip Whitener
I love these polishes, I love the brush on the white nail polish, it's the perfect size. The base coat is great too, I've been in need of one since my Sally Hansen one dried up.

BarryM Lipgloss
This doesn't have a shade name, it came free with a bottle of Impulse body spray. It's a lovely creamy pink colour and it's not at all sticky. :)

My Blusher/Bronzer/Highlighter Stash

 Hi Everyone,
Here is my blusher, bronzer and highlighter stash :)

I'm pretty new to using blusher, bronzer or highlighters, I never used to wear any of these things on my cheeks! But now I love them, especially highlighters! :)

So lets start with bronzers...

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzer in Shade 51
This bronzer smells lovely, it smells kind of sweet. I kind of wish i'd bought this in the darker shade as it's pretty pale. It does a good job of warming up my complexion though.

17 Instant Glow Bronzer
This is a pretty pale bronzer, it's not that pigmented and it's pretty chalky. This was the first bronzer I bought.

MUA Bronzer in Shade 3
This is the darkest bronzer out of the three, it's very pigmented and only cost £1! I've not used it that much though as I always feel that I'm too pale to pull it off.

(L-R Bourjois, 17, MUA)

Now onto the blushers...

MAC Flower Fantasy Pearlmatte Powder
This is kinda of blush/highlighter, it's not that pigmented but it has a lovely sheen to it :)

Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades in Blushalicious
I picked this up on a whim because I saw someone talking about it on Youtube, I love that you can use this as 4 individual blushes or swirl them altogether and use as a fifth blush.

Revlon Golden Affair in Berry Daring
I love this blush, it's really warm toned and has a nice golden shimmer to it, its very pigmented and I think this will be my go to blush in the Autumn.

MUA Blush in Shade 2
I love this light berry shade, it's lovely and natural. It's also a total bargain at only £1.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Blush in Summer Fever
This was a bargain Poundland blush, it's nice that it's got three complimenting shades.
I don't use it much though.

(L-R MAC, Collection 2000, Revlon)
(L-R MUA, Rimmel)

Last but definitely not least, are the highlighters.

No7 Vital Enlightening Highlighter Powder
This was from the No7 Spring collection and was the first highlighter that I bought. It's buttery soft and a gorgeous champagne colour.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle
I am totally in love with this highlighter!

Technics High Lights
This is a dupe for Benefit's High Beam, it's so pretty and it only cost me £1.50! I love mixing it with my foundation :)

(L-R Technics, No7, MAC)

Anyway, that was a pretty long post,
