I don't own any high end lip products apart from a couple of Urban Decay lip glosses, so here's a few things that I've got my eye on.

I've been wanting to try a MAC lipstick for aages and I just love the look of this pinky nude.

This sounds like a lovely sheer, moisturising lip product. I also love the names!

Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lip Gloss - £13 - Debenhams

Product Review and NOTD - Rimmel Sky High Nail Varnish

Hi everyone!
I was naughty and bought a new nail varnish today, I really fancied a summery turquoise nail varnish. So we popped down to Morrisons and found just what I was looking for at the Rimmel stand.

Sky High is a gorgeous creamy turquoise/teal shade and it's part of Rimmel's 60 Seconds nail varnish range. It costs £2.99 and you get 8ml of product, so pretty cheap. :)

I was really happy with my purchase until I applied it, the first coat was soo sheer, the second was very streaky and uneven. By the time I applied the third coat it had started to even out a bit and was nice and opaque. Unfortunately the nail varnish went all blobby and uneven on my little finger. :(
I applied some Seche Vite top coat and the pictures above show the results.

Summary
Pros - Lovely colour, a nice creamy finish and very summery.
Cons - The application is awful!
Marks out of 10 - 6/10

I was so disappointed with the application of this nail varnish, especially seeing as I have some of the other shades of nail varnishes from the same range and they're lovely to apply and very opaque after one coat. I will use this nail varnish again, but only when I have some patience to put up with the formula :)

Product Review - The Body Shop Coconut Gift Bag

Hi everyone :)
I have a lovely summery scented product review for you today. I don't know about you but the scent of coconut just makes me think of summer, tropical beaches, suncream and most importantly that lovely drink Malibu. ;)

So I dug this gift set out of my stash, it contains a coconut shower gel, body butter and body scrub. There is also a body puff and it's all packed up in a purple guaze toiletry bag. This retails for £10 and can be found on the body shop website or in store.

So lets have a look at the products...
You get a 50ml coconut body butter.
This is what it looks like in the tub :)
This is it on my hand, it's a lovely thick, rich cream with a strong and pleasant coconutty smell. This body butter is very moisturising and my dry skin absorbs it very quickly and easily. Also the smell lasts on the skin for hours!
Next up is the body scrub, you get 50ml which is perfect for travelling.
This scrub contains virgin coconut oil and has a soft, creamy consistency with exfoliating particles.
To be honest, I didn't really rate this scrub, the smell is lovely and it feels kind of moisturising but i found it wasn't really abrasive enough for my liking.
The last product in the bag was this coconut shower cream, you get 60ml of product and it's soap free which is nice!
The shower cream is thick and moisturising. I used it with the body puff that came in the gift set, I found that it lathered up really nicely.

Summary
Pros - Great size for travelling, love the colour of the toiletry bag!, the body butter is amazing.
Cons - The body scrub isn't abrasive enough for my liking and the body puff is a little small.
Mark out of 10 - 7/10

I think this set would make a great little gift for someone, especially if they're due to go on holiday. The scent of these products give them a real summery feel and the little sturdy pots will be great to re use!

NOTD - Glittery Mauve

Hi everyone! :)

Last night I went out for a meal with people from work and I thought It'd be a great chance to try out some of my new nail varnishes!
I decided to go for BarryM's Dusky Mauve, topped with BarryM's Iridescent Pink on all my fingers expect my ring finger. Then as an accent nail I used Shimmy Shake by Collection 2000 which I topped with BarryM's Sliver Glitter.
I know this one's blurry but I thought it showed all the colours in the glitter quite well.

The finished look.

The polishes I used to create this NOTD.

I used Rimmel 60 seconds in Clear as a base coat and I tried out my new topcoat, Sally Hansen Mega Shine.

Haul - Superdrug and Poundland!

Hi everyone,
I've got a haul post for you today, I went to Preston the other day and picked up a few bargains and some Sleek products I'd been wanting to try.
Yay new makeup! :D

Mmm Sleek Palettes :D

This is the 'Oh so special' Palette
And again :)

The pictures above are of the 'Sunset' Palette.
This is the Storm palette, I'm a great lover or neutral eyeshadows and I've been tempted to buy this for agges :D
These palettes were £6.49 each, and I got them on a 3 for 2 offer at Superdrug. But anyway enough drooling over those and on to the rest of the stuff.
Here are the nail varnishes I picked up,
- Peach Smoothie by Revlon - £1 from Poundland(this is a scented nail varnish!)
- Pink Iridescent by BarryM - £2.99 from Superdrug
- Disco Ball by Rimmel - £2.99 from Superdrug

Now for some eye products, these are all by Collection 2000
- Glam Metallics Coloured Liquid Eyeliner in Groupie - 50p from Poundland(this came with the Glam Glitter, in a sachet)
- Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in Funk - £2.99 from Superdrug
- Glam Glitter Loose Glitter Wand in OMG! - 50p from Poundland

Swatches for the eye products :D

Another product I got from Poundland was this lipgloss by Rimmel

I bought this in the shade Glimmer, a pale, glittery pink.

I didn't have a bright red lip liner in my collection, so when I saw this Rimmel lip liner in Red Dynamite for just a pound I had to have it.

This is a product I hadn't seen before, It's called Eyeful Eye Glistener, by Rimmel. I got it in the shade Flaunt and it can be used as a shadow or liner.

The last thing I bought was a Concealer Foundation Stick by NYC. I got it in the shade Natural Ivory and for only £1 in Poundland!

Look out for some reviews coming up!
Thanks for reading this crazily long post!

Product Review - Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie

When the Revlon Lip Butters were launched in the UK I jumped on the band wagon and bought one as soon as possible! However I was totally disappointed, I bought one in the shade 'Strawberry Shortcake', a light, creamy, baby pink. I tried it on and immediately hated it, the colour was awful on me, it was so pigmented which wasn't what I was expecting and it clung to any dry skin on my lips.

BUT!!! I have now fallen in love with a lip butter and I've forgiven Revlon(hehe) :D

This lip butter is completely different!

It's in the shade Berry Smoothie.
I bought this because I liked the look of the colour and Emilynoel83, from YouTube recommended it in one of her videos.

Berry Smoothie is a fairly sheer berry colour, it feels smooth and moisturising on the lips.

The packaging is sleek, sophisticated and the actual product is a good shape and enables easy application.

This is the lip butter swatched on my hand, on the right it's just one swipe of the product and on the left it's a few layers of the lip butter.

This is Berry Smoothie applied lightly, I love this for an everyday/work/daytime look, it's lovely and sheer.

Pro's
- Not badly priced - £7.99
- Easy to wear
- Amazing colour(for me anyway)
- Moisturising

Con's
- You don't get much product for the money
- The product can get a bit soft quite easily, which makes it harder to apply(I've stuck mine in the fridge for a while)

P.S. If anyone wants the lip butter in Strawberry Shortcake that I have, let me know, I'd be happy to send it to you :) I've only used it a couple of times. Hopefully I can find it a new home where it'll be used and loved :D hehe.
